Basketball Recap: Raton Takes a Loss

Raton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Trinidad Miners, falling 34-12. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-33 back in January.

Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Trinidad, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raton will welcome Tucumcari at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tucumcari will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Raton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trinidad, they will be playing at home against Sangre de Cristo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
