Basketball Recap: Tucker County Comes Up Short

If Tucker County was riding high fresh off their 61-39 takedown of Southern last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Tucker County Mountain Lions and the Tug Valley Panthers didn't end well, with the Tucker County Mountain Lions falling 56-39. The match marked the Mountain Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Tucker County still got an impressive performance from Garrett Wilfong, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and five boards. Sam Marks was another key player, putting up six points.

Tucker County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Tug Valley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Tucker County has already played their next contest, a 70-40 win against Moorefield on the 6th. As for Tug Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-50 victory against St. Joseph Central on the 4th.
