Basketball Recap: Northwest Yeshiva Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Northwest Yeshiva extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Evan Kaufthal. The Northwest Yeshiva Lions took down the Rainier Christian Mustangs 62-47 on Wednesday thanks in part to Kaufthal, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Joe Benoliel, who posted 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Northwest Yeshiva is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Rainier Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Northwest Yeshiva will head out to square off against Northwest Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rainier Christian, they will be playing at home against Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
