Basketball Recap: Greer Has No Trouble Against Seneca

Greer won the last time they faced Seneca and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Greer Yellow Jackets were the clear victor by a 71-50 margin over the Seneca Bobcats. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Bobcats are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Seneca saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jeremiah Hunter posted 11 points and three steals. Hunter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Stu Finley was another key player, putting up nine points.

Greer pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Seneca, they moved to 11-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
