Basketball Recap: Horizon Gets the Win + How To Watch

Horizon won the last time they faced Grand Junction Central and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hawks strolled past the Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 60-46.

Noah Sokolowski had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Jeramiah Chavez, who put up 11 points.

Horizon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grand Junction Central only pulled down three.

Despite the loss, Grand Junction Central still got an impressive performance from Adam Tabora, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaime Padilla, who earned ten points.

Horizon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Grand Junction Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Horizon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-28 victory against Gateway on the 8th. As for Grand Junction Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 37-30 win against Steamboat Springs on the 11th.
