Softball Recap: Reeds Spring Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Reeds Spring's offense. They came up short against the Clever Blue Jays on Friday, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Jays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-2 on Thursday.

Reeds Spring saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Clevenger, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Reeds Spring has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Clever, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Reeds Spring has already played their next contest, a 6-4 win against Sparta on the 12th. As for Clever, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 victory against Exeter on the 14th.
