Volleyball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Takes a Loss

Maroa-Forsyth lost against Heyworth back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.

While Maroa-Forsyth was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17.

Morgan Woolum paced Maroa-Forsyth's offense, picking up four kills. Woolum got some help from Jacy Ravenscraft and her ten assists.

Heyworth was led to victory by Lyla Tate and Sidney Ditchen. Tate had ten kills and nine digs, while Ditchen had 11 assists and six digs. Tate has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 19 times she's played.

Maroa-Forsyth now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Heyworth, their record is now 4-1.

Maroa-Forsyth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Unity Christian on the 4th. As for Heyworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Deer Creek-Mackinaw on the 4th.
