Basketball Recap: Milwaukee Lutheran Comes Up Short

Milwaukee Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks, falling 84-61. The Red Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hustlin' Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Despite the loss, Milwaukee Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Makhai Jewell, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points. With that strong performance, Jewell is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Allen, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Milwaukee Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Greenfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Milwaukee Lutheran will face off against Brown Deer at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for Greenfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 90-73 win against Kenosha Tremper on the 10th.
