Volleyball Recap: Antioch Comes Up Short

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Guilford Vikings. The Sequoits were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Guilford can attribute much of their success to Morgan Schoepfer, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Guilford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Antioch has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Boylan Catholic on the 27th. As for Guilford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Crystal Lake Central on the 27th.
