Basketball Recap: Cartersville Victorious

Cartersville's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 76-73 win over the Bowdon Red Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hurricanes have posted since February 16th.

Cartersville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Bowdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cartersville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Villa Rica at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bowdon, they will take on Cedartown in a tournament on Thursday. One thing working in Bowdon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
