Recap: Choteau Bulldogs vs. Rocky Boy Northern Stars
This season hasn't been kind to the Choteau Bulldogs, who are still winless after their fifth game. They fell 52-43 to Rocky Boy on Friday. Choteau was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rocky Boy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Despite the loss, Choteau still got an impressive performance from Kylie Kovatch, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Kovatch scored 15 or more points.
Choteau bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.7 points per game. As for Rocky Boy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Choteau and Fairfield will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rocky Boy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Conrad on December 16th.
