Softball Preview: St. Croix Central Panthers vs. Osceola Chieftains

St. Croix Central is 1-6 against Osceola since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The St. Croix Central Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Osceola Chieftains at 5:00 p.m.

St. Croix Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Osceola as St. Croix Central made off with a 14-0 win.

Lauren Lindus was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched. Lindus was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, St. Croix Central got a big performance out of Faith Bonse, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Madeline Rydberg was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

St. Croix Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Osceola, their loss was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
