West Chicago had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They strolled past the Ridgewood Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 52-34. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Rebels are ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Chicago's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Ridgewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.
