Desert Ridge is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-35 heartbreaker at the hands of Queen Creek.

Meanwhile, Gilbert came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 67-38. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Gilbert's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Desert Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
