Baseball Recap: Schuylerville Horses vs. Gloversville Huskies/Dragons
Schuylerville's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Gloversville Huskies/Dragons 13-5. The result was nothing new for the Horses, who have now won three contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Jack Boden made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Boden was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Schuylerville let Caden Morris and Lucas Reilly run wild. Morris went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Reilly got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave Reilly a new career-high. Alex Palmer also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Schuylerville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
