Softball Game Preview: Nolan Catholic Vikings vs. Trinity Christian Trojans

For the second straight game, Nolan Catholic will face off against Trinity Christian. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nolan Catholic is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Nolan Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Trinity Christian and fell 11-9.

Maddie Kapavik and Mallory Laux did some serious damage despite the final result: Kapavik went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Laux went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaden Padilla, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Trinity Christian and bumps their season record up to 2-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Nolan Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1.
