Basketball Recap: The Webb Schools Comes Up Short

The Webb Schools was the 48-38 winner over Mesa Grande Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Webb Schools Gauls took a 31-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mesa Grande Academy Cardinals. The loss leaves the Gauls without a win on the season.

When it comes to explaining why The Webb Schools lost on Thursday, don't look at Pristine Thomas. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 21 boards. Thomas has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Geniya Parker was another key player, putting up six points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.

The Webb Schools' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mesa Grande Academy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.
