Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Albany). They were the clear victors by a 19-13 margin over the North Pontotoc Vikings on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Connor Yarbrough was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Darion Jackson was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
