Softball Recap: Wilson Hall Comes Up Short

Wilson Hall lost against Laurence Manning Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Barons took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Swampcats.

Wilson Hall saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Paisley Geddings, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Wilson Hall dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Laurence Manning Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson Hall will welcome Carolina Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Laurence Manning Academy, they will be playing at home against Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Swampcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Skyhawks have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
