Volleyball Recap: Kenyon-Wanamingo Takes a Loss

Kenyon-Wanamingo entered their match against Triton on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knights came up short against the Cobras, falling 3-0. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Kenyon-Wanamingo ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Addy Lindell and Audrey Haugen, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Kendal Johnson and her 18 assists.

Kenyon-Wanamingo's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 19-4. As for Triton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenyon-Wanamingo will square off against Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Triton, they will challenge New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
