Basketball Recap: Bangs Takes a Loss

Bangs lost against Coleman back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bangs Dragons fell 60-48 to the Coleman Bluecats.

Despite the loss, Bangs still got an impressive performance from Brennan Mendieta, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 17 points. Those 17 points gave Mendieta a new career-high. Aden Jones was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Bangs dropped their record down to 8-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Coleman, their record is now 7-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ballinger the next time they take the court. Coleman will head out to face Ballinger at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Bangs will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on January 14th.
