Basketball Recap: Cloverdale Takes a Loss

Cloverdale lost against Northview back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cloverdale Clovers lost 62-36 to the Northview Knights. While losing is never fun, the Clovers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Knights are ranked 37th).

Northview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Goff, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds Goff has posted since back in January of 2024. Avery Perry was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points and seven boards.

Cloverdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Northview, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Cloverdale has already played their next game (against Eastern Greene), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-30 victory against Crawfordsville on the 1st.
