Basketball Recap: Centerburg Takes a Loss

Centerburg lost against KIPP Columbus back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Centerburg Trojans fell 72-65 to the KIPP Columbus Jaguars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Centerburg dropped their record down to 11-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for KIPP Columbus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerburg will take on Genoa Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Centerburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for KIPP Columbus, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Jaguars face off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
