Football Recap: South Forsyth Takes Down Brookwood in a Playoff Battle

South Forsyth had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Brookwood Broncos on Thursday as the South Forsyth War Eagles made off with a 27-6 win. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Broncos are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Forsyth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Quincy Hilton picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.

South Forsyth pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.1 points per game. As for Brookwood, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

South Forsyth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-7 loss against Grayson on the 5th. Brookwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
