Basketball Game Preview: The Nueva School Mavericks vs. Sequoia Ravens

The Nueva School Mavericks will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Sequoia Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The Nueva School is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They were outmatched by Burlingame and fell 60-16. The Mavericks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Julia Randolph, who posted five points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Willa Beard, who had two points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sequoia beat Independence 44-38 on Tuesday.
