Soccer Game Preview: Heights vs. Westside

The Heights Bulldogs and the Westside Wolves will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Heights has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Westside will come in with three straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Heights' offense. They lost 3-0 to Bellaire on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Westside kept a clean sheet against Cesar E. Chavez on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lobos as they made off with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for Wolves, who have now won three matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Alizon Ayala and Sophia Wilkinson scored all three of Westside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Westside's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Heights beat Westside 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heights since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
