Baseball Game Preview: Hoover Tornados vs. Glendale Nitros

Hoover is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Glendale a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Hoover Tornados will host the Glendale Nitros at 3:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Muir hit Hoover with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tornados came up short against the Mustangs, falling 8-2.

Hoover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Flores, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Glendale fell victim to Pasadena and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 6-0 to the Bulldogs.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

Hoover couldn't quite get it done against Glendale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Tornados avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
