Otay Ranch not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Olympian Eagles 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Otay Ranch never let Olympian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-22.

Otay Ranch's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Olympian, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-13.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Otay Ranch and Mater Dei Catholic will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Olympian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Santana on the 1st.
