Venice easily dispatched University last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Gondoliers fell just short of the Palisades Dolphins by a score of 56-54 on Friday. On the bright side, the 54- point performance marked the Gondoliers' highest-scoring game to date.
Despite the loss, Venice had strong showings from Aaron Minter, who picked up 248 receiving yards and two TDs, and Bennett Dome, who threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns. Minter was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 62 yards.
