Basketball Recap: Springlake-Earth Takes a Loss

Springlake-Earth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Kress Kangaroos 53-16. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1323rd, while the Kangaroos are ranked 647th).

Springlake-Earth's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Kress, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 19-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lazbuddie the next time they take the court. Kress will host Lazbuddie at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Springlake-Earth will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
