Basketball Game Preview: Barrington Fillies/Broncos vs. Evanston Wildkits

The Barrington Fillies/Broncos just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Evanston Wildkits at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Barrington will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, everything went Barrington's way against Schaumburg as Barrington made off with a 47-27 win. Given the Fillies/Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Saxons are ranked 439th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Evanston didn't have too much trouble with Deerfield on Friday as they won 62-43.

Barrington has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Evanston, their record is now 6-16.

Barrington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Evanston in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barrington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
