Springville posted their closest victory since March 20th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Corner Yellow Jackets 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

Ryan King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Grant Martinez was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Springville's victory bumped their record up to 14-10-1. As for Corner, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Springville will face off against Leeds at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Corner, they will challenge Cordova at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
