Kern Valley has gone 9-0-1 against Desert recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Broncs will welcome the Scorpions at 5:00 p.m. Desert took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Kern Valley, who comes in off a win.

Kern Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Boron 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Broncs in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Kern Valley never let Boron on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-9, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Desert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of California City. While the Scorpions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ravens 25-19 in the first set.

Desert started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 22-25, 25-10, 25-19, 15-12.

Kern Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-12-1. As for Desert, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything went Kern Valley's way against Desert in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Kern Valley made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Broncs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
