Baseball Recap: Wagener-Salley Takes a Loss

Wagener-Salley lost against Swansea back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wagener-Salley War Eagles took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Swansea Tigers. The War Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Wagener-Salley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Bevell, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Bevell hit this season.

Wagener-Salley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Swansea, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wagener-Salley will host Horse Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Horse Creek Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.
