Basketball Recap: Mancos Comes Up Short

Mancos played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Cedaredge Bruins, falling 59-10. The Bluejays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.

Carley Malinowski continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cedaredge, going 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Denison, who posted eight points along with five assists and three steals.

Mancos is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Cedaredge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Mancos will be taking part in a tournament against Rangely at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cedaredge has already played their next game, a 40-36 victory against Sargent on the 14th.
