Recap: Delaware Academy Bulldogs vs. Walton Warriors

There's no place like home for the Delaware Academy Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They took their contest at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 64-30 win over Walton. With Delaware Academy ahead 41-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Walton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Grace Walley, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Kahrin Vesterfelt who scored five points along with four steals. Walley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Delaware Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Walton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delaware Academy will take on Deposit-Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Deposit-Hancock comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Walton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bainbridge-Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bainbridge-Guilford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday.
