Recap: University Trojans vs. Belton Tigers
After a string of three wins, the University Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 24-14 to Belton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University in their matchups with Belton: they've now lost four in a row.
Although University took the loss, they still got scores from Armani Franklin and Brayden Gollihar.
Reese Rumfield was his usual excellent self, rushing for 160 yards and three touchdowns.
University's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Belton, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
University will face off against Crockett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crockett has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 247 points over their last five contests. As for Belton, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Travis at 7:30 p.m. Travis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 827th, while Belton is ranked 219th).
