Republic won the last time they faced Neosho and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Republic Tigers came out on top against the Neosho Wildcats by a score of 57-50. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Wildcats are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Neosho saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zach Forsythe went 8-for-10 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Forsythe a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Kaiden Asberry, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and four steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Republic and bumps their season record up to 16-3. As for Neosho, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Coming up, Republic will be playing at home against Joplin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Neosho, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats duke it out with the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
