Softball Recap: Spring Hill Beats Gardner-Edgerton for Their Fifth Straight Win

Spring Hill entered their tilt with Gardner-Edgerton on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Trailblazers 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Campbell Mermis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Reeves, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Spring Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive games.

Spring Hill's win bumped their record up to 13-4.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Gardner-Edgerton: the pair will be back at it again later today.
