St. Patrick managed to slip by Von Steuben the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. St. Patrick came up short against Von Steuben on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The Shamrocks just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

St. Patrick got a good showing from Jason Richard, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Richard has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

St. Patrick's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Von Steuben, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

St. Patrick didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against Brother Rice on the 28th. As for Von Steuben, they have also already played their next game, a 4-4 tie against Morgan Park on the 26th.
