Football Recap: Marshalltown Takes a Loss

Marshalltown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs, falling 31-10. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 34th).

Marshalltown now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Marshalltown is taking a road trip to face off against Waterloo West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they will host Ames at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
