Softball Recap: Beloit Memorial Purple Knights vs. Delavan-Darien Comets

Beloit Memorial scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Delavan-Darien Comets a 20-0 shutout. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Chesney Bishop was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Bishop was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Beloit Memorial got a massive performance out of Allie Gustafson, who went 1-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Abigail Middleton was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
