Softball Game Preview: Lakeville Falcons vs. Chesaning Indians

Lakeville and Chesaning are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Falcons will challenge the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lakeville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Chesaning's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lakeville is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Owosso just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-6.

Meanwhile, Chesaning was able to grind out a solid victory over Valley Lutheran on Wednesday, taking the game 8-4.

Chesaning's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lakeville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Lakeville took their victory against Chesaning in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
