Recap: Edmund Burke Academy Spartans vs. Brentwood War Eagles
The Edmund Burke Academy Spartans lost against the Brentwood War Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Edmund Burke Academy received a tough blow as they fell 51-35 to Brentwood. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Edmund Burke Academy has scored all season.
Edmund Burke Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braydon Tindell, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison McClellan, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brentwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zyion Andrews, who scored 15 points. Baylor Cobb was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Edmund Burke Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Brentwood, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edmund Burke Academy will square off against Glascock County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brentwood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Georgia Military College at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th.
