Baseball Game Preview: Randall Raiders vs. Fort Stockton Panthers

The Randall Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Fort Stockton Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Randall will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

If Randall beats Fort Stockton with four runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Raiders beat Borger on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1.

Meanwhile, Fort Stockton posted their closest victory since March 6th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Pecos 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Randall's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Fort Stockton, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Randall was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Stockton when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
