Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against St. Mary's Academy

Konos Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 73-67 to the St. Mary's Academy Bobcats. The Condor just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Despite the defeat, Konos Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Callum Franke shot 70% from the field on his way to 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Franke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson McFadden, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 17 points.

Konos Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Konos Academy will host New Creation Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Condor's defense better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 51.2 points per game this season. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Cross Keys at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
