Baseball Recap: Beloit Memorial Comes Up Short

Beloit Memorial extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-7. They fell 4-1 to the Union Grove Broncos. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Beloit Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Nora, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

As for Union Grove, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

On Union Grove's side, they got a great performance from Kevin Brau as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Brau a new career-high.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beloit Memorial beat Union Grove by a score of 6-0 later that day.
