Bamberg-Ehrhardt had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 8-5 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Barnwell Warhorses, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Raiders have posted against the Warhorses since March 17, 2022.

As for Barnwell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since February 13, 2025.

For Barnwell's part, Case Davis put in work no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Davis has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Barnwell: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

Davis wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Zissett, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. Zissett is becoming a predictor of Barnwell's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Bamberg-Ehrhardt is taking a road trip to face off against Bridges Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Barnwell, they will host Whale Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.56 runs per game on average), something the Warhorses will no doubt try to take advantage of.
