Football Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Allen Eagles and fell 70-14. The Blue Hawks haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Rock Hill still got an impressive performance from Alijah Adefunmi, who rushed for 88 yards on only five carries. Adefunmi's longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards.

Allen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josyah Johnson, who picked up 78 receiving yards and two scores. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Johnson a new career-high. Caleb Smith was another key player, picking up 132 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Allen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Rock Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-34 defeat against Princeton on the 19th. As for Allen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 56-0 win against Plano on the 19th.
