Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Lincoln challenged El Camino on Saturday. The Lincoln Mustangs fell 10-6 to the El Camino Colts. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jala Chi was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Alfo, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln fell to 2-1. As for El Camino, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mission at 3:30 p.m. on March 25th. The match will give Lincoln their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for El Camino, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Design Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Camino is facing Design Tech at the right time seeing as Design Tech is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
